A surgeon is bringing his skin care wares to King's Road. Next month,Bötzingen, Germany-based aesthetic surgeon Erich Schulte will open a retail space near London's King's Road with treatment rooms for his QMS Medicosmetics treatment brand. He will also add a stem cell-based antiaging cream to the brand’s lineup this month.
QMS Medicosmetics is distributed in 600 spas, beauty salons, hotels and clinics in Europe, South Africa and South Korea. The brand is also carried at Selfridges department store in the U.K. and KaDeWe in Berlin.
According to industry sources, the brand generates wholesale volume of between 8 million euros and 12 million euros, or $10.8 million and $16.2 million, at current exchange.
The 23-year-old brand comprises 29 products, including moisturizers, body care items and supplements. An active ingredient delivery system, dubbed Nano Enhanced Cross Transportation Technology, lies at its heart. Schulte uses images in press materials of his own face, which suffered severe burns following a fuel fume explosion, to demonstrate the effectiveness of QMS Medicosmetics Night Collagen.
Cellular Marine Stem Cell Line Eraser, the latest addition to the line, taps stem cell technology.
The cream contains stem cells derived from sea fennel, which are said to stimulate the body’s own stem cells. It will bow April 22 and retail for 200 pounds, or $303.82, per 30-ml. jar.
