Deborah Lippmann moved to New York after her manicure chair became a favorite of Phoenix socialites while living in Arizona. After working her magic on the hands of an Allure magazine editor, her career took off when she was dubbed “one of the best manicurists in the country” by Allure and a “mega manicurist” by Vogue.
The Deborah Lippmann Collection was created when she mixed a special nail color (“Satin Doll”) to complement Mariah Carey’s dress for the 1998 Academy Awards. Now, there is an assortment of over 45 longwearing shades, along with specialty treatments for nails, hands and feet.
This July, the brand is rolling out a “Polished” Full Size Five Piece Set ($59) on HSN and online at www.hsn.com. The kit includes three of Lippmann’s topselling colors and two treatments— Happy Birthday (glitter), Waking up in Vegas (pale grey), Naked (beige), Addicted to Speed (ultra quick-dry top coat) and Ridge Filler (base coat).
