For the fifth consecutive season, Estée Lauder sponsored the beauty look (makeup & nails) at the Derek Lam Fall 2012 runway show. Invisible matte skin with subtly defined cheeks, pink-beige tinted lips and a sexy cat eye in a smoky-burgundy shade ruled the catwalk at St. John’s Center on Feb.12.
Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux led a team of makeup artists to create the stunning look on more than 30 models – while famed manicurist Jin Soon Choi and her team polished their nails with Estée Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Nude Attitude (available now in select International markets).
“The French have a saying for this look, ‘Un peu décalé,’ inspired by a woman who has a unique way about her. Unexpected. Intriguing. Different from all the rest. She is youthful and innocent, yet far from immature,” said Pecheux about the looks.
