• The Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ will play host to the 11th New Jersey Symposium on Biomaterials Science, Oct. 9-11.
Joachim Kohn, Ph.D., Rutgers University, will deliver the opening day keynote address, “Perspectives on Bioactivity.”
Sessions will include: Controlling Cell Behavior through Bioactive Materials; Chemical Approaches for Creating Bioactive Materials; Approaches to Regeneration of Musculoskeletal Tissues; Data-driven Presentations on Bioactivity; Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine; Immunogenicity of Decellularized Materials; Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine; Imaging and Characterization of Cells on Bioactive Scaffolds; and Translational Research in Regenerative Medicine.
In addition to posters and exhibits, a panel discussion entitled “The Crooked, Rocky Path: How a Discovery Progresses from the Lab to the Clinic,” will be moderated by Peter J. Butch, III, Partner, Fox Rothschild LLP.
Also planned is a special workshop on non-invasive technologies presented by the Center for Dermal Research (CDR). Babar K. Rao, M.D. University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Weill Cornell Medical College, will present “Answers without Surgery: Confocal Microscopy for Non-Invasive Diagnosis of Skin Lesions.”
