Maybelline is all about the runway for New York Fashion Week 2016. Carole Colombani for Maybelline New York created a makeup look for the woman she calls "the full-of-energy girl" for the Anna K FW '16 show. Setting the tone with youthful pink lips and cheeks, she opted for an eyeliner shape that hints at a cat eye—but done in an unexpected sapphire shade that keeps the effect fresh and vivacious.
Grace Lee for Maybelline New York called her inspiration "the cool, minimalistic city girl" for the Ji Oh FW '16 presentation. A touch of dewiness on the high points of the face and glossy eyelids made for an effortless look that's understated but not ordinary.
Meanwhile, Yadim for Maybelline New York captured "in-motion transformation" for the Opening Ceremony FW '16 show. As a nod to artist Syd Mead's futuristic work in movies such as Blade Runner and Aliens, he placed special-effects-like slashes of glitter on an otherwise-clean face. The goal: To evoke beautifully the idea of a cyborg with metal peeking through the skin.
Tom Pecheux for Maybelline New York captured the essence of natural beauty with lightly contoured cheeks, groomed brows and pale lips for the Derek Lam FW '16 show. The focus is on skin that is perfected but in a way that reads soft, luminous and fresh.
