Dermablend Professional has appointed Tara Pyle as its new vice president, overseeing the brand’s development and strategy. Pyle, who brings more than a decade of marketing experience to her new role, replaces Malena Higuera, who has served as Dermablend’s general manager for four years.
Pyle will continue to build on the successes of Dermablend’s science-backed product innovation and help carry out its mission of developing solutions for all - no matter the skin type, tone or condition.
“It’s an exciting time to welcome Tara to the Active Cosmetics Division to lead Dermablend, as we’re seeing a growing demand in skin-first, science-backed and dermatologist-endorsed products,” said Marc Toulemonde, president of L’Oréal’s Active Cosmetics Division. “Her knowledge of the industry and passion for the Dermablend brand will help to continue driving the success of the business.”
Experience
Prior to this position, Pyle served as VP of global marketing & international business development for essie. During her time in this role, she implemented product portfolio strategy for the brand to unlock incremental consumers and increase market share. She helped drive essie to be the #1 nail brand in Western Europe and reach record market share in the US. Pyle began her career at L’Oreal in the Professional Products Division, working on L’Oreal Professionnel, Redken, and Matrix, where she gained a deep understanding of leveraging professional expertise and engaging professional advocates to build strong brands.
Pyle began her new role as vice president of Dermablend on August 17.
