Sephora is showing lots of love for Lys Beauty. It's the retailer's first Black-owned clean cosmetics collection and it debuts on Valentine's Day. That's appropriate, since Lys is an acronym for "love yourself."
The color cosmetics collection includes skin-friendly formulas priced from $12 to $22. The hero product is Triple Fix Serum Foundation ($22), which is available in 35 shades. It contains ingredients like ashwagandha, hyaluronic acid and turmeric. Another formula, Secure Skin Gripping Serum Primer ($20), features 5% niacinamide and AHAs to help balance skin and reduce pore size. Other products in the line include Triple Fix Setting Powder ($18) and Higher Standard Satin Matte Cream Blush ($16).
According to Founder and CEO Tisha Thompson, "clean means providing skin-first formulas that offer the vibrancy, coverage and wearability that we all like with added skin care benefits from great ingredients."
