The Society of Cosmetic Chemists has shared news that Charles E. Moses passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021 after a challenging battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). He was 65.
Moses received his BS degree in Chemistry from Fairfield University in Connecticut and started his career as a chemist with Clairol in 1978. He continued to work in the beauty care industry until his retirement in 2020.
Moses is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dona (Fearing) Moses, their daughter Claudia; daughters from first marriage to Olwyn Shirley, Amber Mersier (Na’eem) and Christina Reed (Jalil); grandchildren Lateef and Akira Reed, Na’eem Jr. and Ahmad Mersier. He is also surived by brothers and sisters as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation and funeral will both be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stamford, CT. The visitation is Friday May 14 from 4 – 7 pm and funeral service will be Saturday, May 1 at 11 a.m. (COVID-19 safety measures will be implemented.)
