As part of its ongoing Healthy Skin, Healthy Planet initiative, Dermalogica has launched a new way for consumers to protect both their skin and the planet in partnership with international recycling leader, TerraCycle.
Through the Dermalogica Free Recycling Program, recyclers earn TerraCycle Recycling Rewards points with every shipment that can be redeemed as a donation to the school, charity, or non-profit of their choice.
“As we work towards a future where no Dermalogica packaging ends up in a landfill, our partnership with TerraCycle provides a seamless way for more people to easily recycle their Dermalogica products—for free,” said Dermalogica Global CEO Aurelian Lis.
Through the Dermalogica Free Recycling Program, consumers can now send in empty Dermalogica skincare packaging including trial and travel size products, tubes and caps, droppers, skin care sprayers and pumps, PET bottles and pumps, and airless pumps, bottles and caps to be recycled for free.
Prospective participants can sign up on the TerraCycle program page and mail in the packaging waste using the prepaid shipping label provided. Once collected, the Dermalogica skincare packaging is cleaned and separated by material type. The fibers and plastics are then recycled into raw formats that manufacturers can use to make new products.
The Dermalogica Free Recycling Program is open to any interested individual, school, office, or community organization. For more information on TerraCycle’s recycling programs, go here.
