Praan Naturals introduced three plant-based waxes to its range of more than 500 certified organic and conventional natural ingredients for personal care product development. All three of the waxes range in hue from white to off-white or light yellow and are supplied in pellet form for ease of use within formulations, said the company.
“In our enthusiasm and respect for the growing market of vegan personal care products, we are delighted to introduce Sumac Wax, Sunflower Wax, and Rice Bran Wax to our catalogue,” said Anáil Moon Devī, Chief Executive Officer of Praan Naturals. “These sustainably sourced, upcycled vegetable waxes are superb vegan alternatives to beeswax and other waxes within cosmetic formulations.”
They offer a non-waxy feel and are well suited for helping to bind oils in a formulation, said the company. Both Sunflower Wax and Rice Bran Wax add stability, hardness, emolliency and lubrication to lipsticks, lip balms, anhydrous cosmetics, foundations, mascaras and a wide array of other cosmetic formulations.
