Intercos Group Founder and President Dario Ferrari has launched DF18+, a skincare line. The formulas contain 18 plant actives, including eight patented stem cell actives. Price points range from $46 for Halo Skintranslucent powder, which is said to act as a primer and makeup base, to $168 for Intensive Cream, which is said to rejuvenate skin at the cellular level.
DF18+ also includes Original Serum, an anti-aging formula; Velvet Serum, a hydrator and pore-refiner; and Balm Serum, a lifting and replumping product.
According to Intercos, Ferrari was inspired by his mother, Dr. Nadja Avalle to create DF18+, which was 10 years in the making. Avalle was said to be a pioneer in repurposing flower residues from the perfume industry as raw materials for skin care in the 1970s. In 1979 she was elected president of IFCC, the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. In 1983, Avalle created CRB, a specialist in skin care development and manufacturing, which was acquired by Intercos Group in 2006.
DF18+ is said to leverage technologies Intercos implemented with Arterra Bioscience through its joint venture Vitalab, which dates back to 2010 and is dedicated to the research and development of active ingredients and naturally-derived ingredients based on stem cells, plants and algae, among others.
On the line’s website, the company maintains a proprietary plant-based blend of 18 potent and unique chemical molecules “work synergistically to replenish youthfulness to the skin with a 360° beautifying and rejuvenating approach.
With the highest plant biodiversity in one formula, the blend provides a maximized boost to all our products, able to reach more than 50 youth enhancing targets.”
