Cosmetify analyzed the hottest hair trends from the last year and compiled the ultimate hair report to reveal the predicted hairstyle trends for 2023.
Ranking in at No. 1 is the butterfly haircut, with search increases skyrocketing by 90233%. TikTok played a significant role in the popularity of the Butterfly cuts, receiving more than 720 million views. The look has already been debuted by celebrities like Sydney Sweeney, Addison Rae and Jenifer Lopez.
Wednesday Addams haircut is set to take 2023 by storm, too, Cosmetify said, with a 7,900% search increase. Searches for Wednesday Addams hair have skyrocketed with the release of the Netflix series "Wednesday." With the hashtag #wednesdayaddamshair, which received more than 1 million views, eager fans have begun re-creating the iconic braided pigtails on TikTok.
Another hairstyle set to trend in 2023 is the jellyfish haircut, which received a search increase of 2018%. The asymmetrical cut has long layers underneath a short bob that is designed to resemble the body and shape of a jellyfish. The haircut has received over 31.1 million views on TikTok despite being more of a dramatic look.
