Scent Theory and Crayola have combined in scent and color to launch a new line of foaming hand soaps.
The collaboration has developed Crayola Scent of Color, a rainbow of seven hand soaps that embody Scent Theory's tagline to "take a moment to get away."
"We all typically think of color as a visual experience, however, our collaboration with Scent Theory takes that sensory connection to another creative dimension so consumers can experience smelling in color for an everyday hygiene task,” said Warren Schorr, Crayola senior vice president, business development, global licensing and experiences.
Based on consumer insights, certain colors have been identified to correspond with specific aromas. Using this theory, the “Scent of Color" line infuses scents inspired by iconic Crayola colors to bring an element of fun to daily handwashing.
"At Scent Theory, our mission is to create transportive everyday moments," said Amy Alperin, head of product development at Scent Theory. "We’re thrilled about this collaboration with Crayola, a brand synonymous with creativity and color. We know that people often associate fragrance with color, so through our scented hand soaps, consumers can embark on a colorful journey and experience the world around them in vibrant scented hues.”
The soaps include Sunset Orange, oranges and golden vanilla; Cherry Red, cherries and tonka bean; Purple Heart, plums and candied violets; Caribbean Green, palm leaf and beach wood; Cerulean Blue, ocean air & blue skies; Laser Lemon, lemonade & sunshine; and Carnation Pink, fresh flowers and sweet berries.
The Scent of Color collection of hand soaps is now available for purchase at Walmart, both in store and online.
