This past weekend at CultureCon LA, Aveeno announced the return of its accelerate program this year for the third time now titled, The Startup Collective by Aveeno.
This program is designed to empower Black female-identifying entrepreneurs in the beauty industry.
This past Saturday, Aveeno partnered with CultureCon to host an engaging panel discussion featuring last year's grant winner. Moderated by Sabrina Henry, Aveeno's chief principal scientist and brand ambassador, the panel featured Arielle Brown, founder of skin care brand, Bea’s Bayou, and entrepreneur influencer Jewel Burkes. The panel shared insights on past winners' experiences, grant impact, and applying for the 2023 grant. Winners will be announced at CultureCon NYC in October.
The Startup Collective
In 2023, The Startup Collective by Aveeno will award grants of $100,000 and $50,000 to two exceptional Black female-identifying entrepreneurs. This financial support, coupled with access to Aveeno's leaders in various fields, including package design, marketing, and accounting, will provide invaluable guidance and mentorship for their businesses.
The Startup Collective by Aveeno aligns with Aveeno's existing Aveeno #SkinVisibility program’s commitment to enhancing skin health and well-being for people of color. This program contributes to closing the gap in healthcare disparities by addressing the specific needs of Black consumers through innovative products and services.
