Chanel has opened a 1,324-square-foot brick-and-mortar boutique in Brooklyn’s trendy, upscale Williamsburg neighborhood on North 6th Street.
The prestige beauty boutique will sell cosmetics, skin care and fragrance, plus eyewear and small leather goods. Other amenities will include remote ordering, curbside pickup, same-day delivery and virtual shopping appointments.
Customers can also consult privately with store associates to peruse a menu of services, which include education on skin care and makeup routines.
According to Barbara Menarguez, general manager of Chanel’s beauty business, the goal of the brick-and-mortar was to target consumers where they live and work. Chanel entered Ulta Beauty in early 2023 following the retailer’s bid for luxury shoppers. The boutiques are designed to provide the “ultimate luxury Chanel experience” in a “harmonized network,” Menarguez said.
As Happi previously reported, Chanel gained 17% in revenues in 2022, reaching $17.2 billion; operating profits rose 5.8% to $5.78 billion.
