The 2023 National Advertising Division Annual Conference will be held on Sept. 19 and 20 at Convene at CityView in Philadelphia. This event looks at advertising law, including reviewing last year's NAD cases. It provides practical advice on the day-to-day issues that the increasingly competitive marketplace raises.
Speakers will include Candace Sady, chief marketing counsel - North America Colgate-Palmolive Company and La Toya C. Sutton director, legal, The Clorox Company.
The agenda includes sessions such as: "Claim Substantiation – Everything Old is New Again." This panel will do a deep dive into recurring issues for companies and their outside counsel – Can bridging claims be made with older testing? How will the FTC’s new Health Product Compliance Guidance and recent notices for unsubstantiated claims affect ad claims review? This panel will also review bread-and-butter claim substantiation issues, from unsurpassed claims to price matching claims.
