A label mix up is behind a recently announced recall of Hello Wild Strawberry Fluoride Toothpaste.
According to Colgate-Palmolive, which owns Hello, some Hello Wild Strawberry Fluoride Toothpaste, packaged in cartons labeled as Hello Wild Strawberry Fluoride Toothpaste, were incorrectly filled in tubes labeled as Hello Fresh Watermelon Fluoride-free toothpaste. The mislabeled tubes do not disclose the presence of fluoride in the product and do not contain the FDA-required directions for use or warnings.
The company announced the recall on August 10, 2023.
The recalled toothpaste formula fully meets product quality and safety specifications for a fluoride toothpaste and is safe when used as intended, according to the company.
The recall impacts 182,046 tubes, according to the FDA. The recalled product was sold on or after October 2022.
To date, Colgate-Palmolive had not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall.
No other Hello toothpastes or other products are in the scope of the recall.
