WTHN, an omni-channel modern wellness brand rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is opening a new studio location in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
In addition, the company has announced a $5 million in series A financing led by L Catterton to fuel omnichannel expansion.
L Catterton joins WTHN’s high profile investors including SoulCycle Founders Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice and Goop Founder Gwyneth Paltrow, among others.
Through this strategic investment, WTHN says it will leverage the funding and L Catterton's expertise across the retail and wellness space to scale WTHN’s brick-and-mortar presence.
The new Williamsburg location will offer immersive experiences including acupuncture on heated tables, ear seeding and sound meditations with an expert team of licensed and board certified acupuncturists and herbalists along with a boutique to “encourage new product discovery.
WTHN also sells herbal remedies and topicals.
“Our mission is to make wellness accessible and empowering, and this new studio location is a significant step in achieving that goal,” said Michelle Larivee, CEO and co-founder of WTHN, which also has a studio in the Flatiron section of New York City.
WTHN’s products are also available in online retailers including Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Erewhon, Poosh and Goop as well as 200-plus brick-and-mortar retail partners.
WTHN says it will be opening additional locations in New York this year and expanding nationally thereafter.
