Hair tool, styling products and skincare device manufacturer iBeauty Brands has acquired of Voloom, which patented one of the first hair volumizing irons on the market.
Officials say iBeauty's decision to acquire Voloom is rooted in its long-time partnership; iBeauty has served as a manufacturing partner for Voloom for over five years.
“As the inventor of the Voloom Hair Volumizing Iron, and a brand new category of hair tools, it was important for me to find the right home for the brand,” said Patricia Lund, Voloom founder. “I'm so proud to now turn Voloom over to iBeauty Brands, which will accelerate its growth, take it into new markets, and fulfill its potential worldwide.”

Voloom currently holds utility patents in the US and around the world. This patent centers around the iron’s unique interlocking, checkerboard designed ceramic plates. Used in the under-layers of hair, these special plates create hidden “volume pockets” that lift the top layers of hair up and away from the scalp for volume without the need for teasing, per the brand.
iBeauty acquired Sultra in 2022 and Adagio California in 2021.
