Japanese personal care brand Mandom touts several cosmetic brands across hair care, coloring and styling products, skin care and body care, and other daily personal grooming needs. Big news for this International Top 30 company in 2021 was the opening of the Mandom Flagship Store on Tmall Global.
Mandom’s Bifesta Cleansing Lotion received a makeover for 2021 as Bifesta Micellar Cleaning Water, according to the company.
New Facility
Recently, Mandom completed a new production building within its Fukusaki Factory, located in Kanzaki-gun, Hyogo Prefecture. Automation and robotization have been enhanced, promoting greater safety productivity as well as reducing environmental impact, according to the company.
The building offers additional appeal as a manufacturing site for cosmetic products and its design caters for flexible production planning to satisfy changing customer demands. This new production setup will boost Fukusaki Factoryʼs existing role as Mandom Groupʼs flagship production facility.
Mandom Group has three factories in Japan, Indonesia and China. Among them, the Fukusaki Factory is the only production site in Japan. As well as manufacturing products for the Japanese and overseas markets, it has been providing support to other production sites overseas, promoting technological innovation and human resource development and serving as an innovation center.

Sports Partnership
The Gatsby cosmetics for young men operates the Global Challengers project, which works with young athletes active on the global stage. Thirdy Ravena, a shooting guard for the San-En Neophoenix B League basketball team, is the project ambassador.
Ravena hails from The Philippines, which was the first international market for Mandom back in the 1950s. Mandom’s hope is that this project creates a sense of optimism not only to young men but to all of the people of Asia.
