Personalized skincare company Curology is having a moment.
The dermatologist-founded brand recently launched DTC e-commerce capabilities, for the first time ever, for its non-prescription skincare products.
Now, longtime customers of Curology can purchase all nine non-Rx products including its Acne Cleanser, Moisturizer, Sunscreenand Emergency Spot Patch directly from the brand and outside of the traditional subscription-based model.
This e-commerce shop follows the brand’s expansion into retail with its non-Rx products at Target and Target.com - broadening Curology’s reach to consumers and furthering their mission to provide more access to personalized, effective skincare.
“Curology was the first company to make personalized prescription skincare easily accessible. Our special model connects consumers with dermatology providers who customize individual treatment plans, making better skincare outcomes attainable for millions of people. Curology now being sold at Target allows us to reach even more people with an in-store presence," said Heather Wallace, CEO of Curology. “We are thrilled to be on Target's shelves and offer our products online to Target's guests as our first step into an omni channel model. This is a pivotal moment for our company and we are proud to embark on this journey with Target at our side.”
Each patient is prescribed a unique custom formula designed to help them reach their specific skin goals. So, for those with acne, dark spots, rosacea or early signs of aging, better skin might be obtainable with customized skincare targeting these issues.
“Over the last six months, Curology has continued to expand our offerings and access through diversified e-commerce and brick-and-mortar channels,” said Raquel Rozas, chief commercial officer, Curology.
“With our own e-commerce, we’re now able to create a one-stop-shop for our customers - not only allowing them to come to us for their own personalized prescription formula subscriptions for Custom Formula and Future-Proof - but where they can purchase their favorite Curology non-Rx products à la carte to round-out their skincare routine,” noted Rozas.
