Dow Corning Offers New Silicone Resin for Hair Care

Midland, MI-based Dow Corning’s 2-2078 Fluid is an amino phenyl liquid silicone resin that provides long-lasting shine and heat and color protection when used in hair care applications such as leave-on products (both water and anhydrous systems), relaxers, colorants and rinse-off products. The fluid carries the INCI designation aminopropylphenyl trimethicone and can be used in high pH (12-14) systems such as lye and no-lye relaxers, perms and colorants.
