The International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) will hold the international scientific event, “World Wide Wellness” Cosmetics 2005 Sept. 19-21 at the Palazzo dei Congressi-Villa Vittoria in Florence, Italy. Topics covered at the conference will include chemical technologies, biochemistry of skin and hair, sensorial sciences, skin and hair nutrients, sports, ethnic cosmetics and environmentally sustainable cosmetics.
The three keynote speakers include Tony Rawlings, who will analyze the differences among ethnic skin types; Jean Jacques Boutaud, who will discuss the sensory experience in dealing with the new social functions of cosmetics; and Walter Aulmann, who will illustrate the ecological assessment of chemical substances.
A number of training courses will also be held as satellite events, covering topics such as communication in science, multipurpose design in cosmetic formulations and the future of global cosmetic legislation.
