Procedure | |
Pre-weigh water, butylene glycol and disodium EDTA and mix until clear, add TEA and mix until uniform. Sprinkle UltraThix slowly until all in. Mix for one hour until completely hydrated. Weigh B and pulverize for about 10 minutes. In a separate beaker combine C and heat to 75-80°C while mixing. Switch C to homomixer, add B and homomix BC maintaining temperature at 75-80°C. Heat A to 75-80°C and add BC to A while homogenizing. Homomix for 10 minutes. Begin cooling the batch to 55°C. Add D. Continue homomixing. Cool batch to 40-45°C and add E. Homomix for 5 minutes. Switch to sweep agitation and cool to room temperature. | |

Appearance-Smooth and creamy; pH-6.51; Viscosity-LVT-TC @ 5 RPM @ 25°C = 70,000. This formula has passed a 28-day double challenge efficacy test. Preservative system has not been optimized. | |
