Last month, Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC) honored Tamara Steele, senior vice president, US prestige beauty group at Elizabeth Arden, at its 34th annual gala. Held Nov. 3 at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ, the sold-out event was attended by 640 executives from across the fragrance and flavor categories.
Steele joined Elizabeth Arden in 1997 as regional manager for the New York area, and has since held a number of sales and marketing positions within the company. In global fragrance marketing, she collaborated with fragrance partners and the Elizabeth Arden team to develop award-winning fragrance concepts for the Arden brand as well as celebrity fragrances, most notably Elizabeth Taylor and Britney Spears. She and her team are responsible for the commercial execution and marketing for the Elizabeth Arden brand and for designer fragrances including Juicy Couture, John Varvatos, White Diamonds Elizabeth Taylor and Wildfox.
During the gala, Arden EVP of Creative and Business Development Ronald Rolleston praised Steele’s career and work ethic, stating that she has “many of the same qualities as our founder Elizabeth Arden.”
The WFFC gala raises funds for a charity picked by the honoree. Steele selected Pencil, a group that works at the intersection of school needs and business expertise to improve public school and student performance and enhance workforce pathways.
