US Patent No. 9,744,108 B2; The University of Tennessee Research Foundation, Knoxville, TN, has patented a method of treating teeth erosion that entails administering a mouthwash comprised of an alkalinizing agent to the teeth so as to raise saliva pH to 7.0 or above, and then administering a second mouthwash comprised of a re-mineralizing agent. The alkalinizing agent comprises sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, potassium phosphate and arginine bicarbonate. The re-mineralizing agent comprises casein phosphopeptide and sodium fluoride.
