US Patent No. 12,102,707 B2 (Tomohiro Hakozaki, Bin Fang Deyer, Leo Timothy Laughlin, II); Procter & Gamble’s latest skincare patent details compositions for improving the appearance of skin that are suited for inhibiting activation of PAR2 by utilizing a synergistic combination of a water lily extract and a vitamin B3 compound.

The topical composition is comprised of a hydrolysate comprising an aqueous extract of Nymphaea alba flowers and thermally inactivated enzymes, wherein the hydrolysate comprises from about 20-70% carbohydrate, by weight of the dry matter of the hydrolysate; a vitamin B3 compound; and a dermatologically acceptable carrier.
