Hourglass Cosmetics Opens Global Flagship in New York City

Beauty brand sets up shop on Prince Street.

You know you’ve made it as a beauty brand if you have a downtown boutique.

Hourglass Cosmetics is reinventing its retail experience with a new global flagship at 14 Prince St. in New York.

Located at the corner of Prince and Elizabeth in Nolita, the flagship offers a shopping experience for clients to discover products and enjoy customized services in a relaxed and modern environment, said the company.

The character of the existing building façade is maintained in the storefront design, including a subtly lit gold logo plaque and residential-inspired curtain panels in the windows.

Design Approach

Hourglass Cosmetics Founder and President Carisa Janes took a hands-on role in the interior design of the store, translating the luxury beauty brand’s aesthetic into the design decisions from the warm color palette to the use of materials like marble and gold accents. Janes enlisted TMR Design and Ryan Crozier of Crozier Studios as partners in bringing that vision to life.

Inside, the design features luxurious lounge areas with bespoke furnishings, including a custom café-style velvet banquette that exudes comfort and elegance—transforming how customers experience makeup.

Artist in Residence

As part of this programming, Hourglass will curate an “Artist in Residence” series, with a rotating lineup of notable personalities for instore masterclass and appointments, beginning in April with celebrity makeup artist Emily Cheng.

Gracie Abrams Partnership

In other news, Hourglass Cosmetics has partnered with singer/songwriter Gracie Abrams to spotlight the brand’s expanded complexion offering, demonstrating how radiant skin can be a canvas for personal storytelling and self-expression.

To highlight the partnership, she appears in a new campaign, “Any Time, Any Place, Any Wear.”
