The Cosmetic Industry Buyers & Suppliers (CIBS) has named Mia Berninger the recipient of the 2025 CIBS Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Scholarship.
The scholarship was presented by honoree and 1996 CIBS President Lauri Larkin and Sebba Alqetrani, a professor of design and engineering at FIT. Alqetrani also led a panel discussion with Sheherazade Chamlou of SGD Pharma and Tereliz Cruzatti. They explored key topics in the industry, including its evolution, the use of digital tools and the importance of human connection.
Mia Berninger, a senior at FIT, is pursuing a BFA in packaging design with minors in ethics & sustainability and creative technology.
