US 12,653,773 B2 (Yunming Shi, Samuel James St. John, Ross Strand); The Procter & Gamble Company, Cincinnati, OH, has patented a dentifrice composition comprising hops beta acid (free of hydrogenated hops beta acid), glycine, a tin ion source and a calcium-based abrasive, wherein the composition achieves an LPS neutralization of at least 60%.

The combination of hops beta acid, derived from Humulus lupulus, with amino acids such as glycine, works synergistically to penetrate and disrupt biofilm in the oral cavity, providing improved anticaries and antibacterial activity, according to the patent literature.
