Silab has released its new five-year CSR roadmap with “Actively Caring 2030.”

Through this program, Silab’s commitment regarding sustainable development relies on a balance between three pillars—profit, people and planet—aiming to create sustainable value, get involved with the company’s ecosystem players, and limit its impact on the environment.

The new plan follows the firm’s completed Actively Caring 2021-2025 program.

Silab has identified nine strategic priorities, divided into 47 measurable mastery or improvement objectives, all followed annually.

“With its new program Actively Caring 2030, SILAB defines the framework of its development and commits to carrying out its values and sharing them to all its ecosystem,” said Jean-Philippe Cosson, general manager in charge of CSR. ”Based on a double materiality assessment, and the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the NU, this program is the result of transversal and methodical work with our employees and the payers of our value chain. Actively Caring 2030 addresses with ambition and responsibility our priorities, displays our commitments, promotes our collective initiatives, and enables us to measure the improvement trajectory of our impacts. There is no doubt that our teams and partners will have the motivation and skills to implement and facilitate this roadmap.”

Since its creation in 1984, Silab has anchored CSR in its values and DNA, according to officials.

New Ingredients for Skin and Hair

Silab has recently expanded its roster of novel ingredients for beauty and personal care, including Cicactyl, designed for skin repair, which was unveiled at In-Cosmetics Global, and Liftilience, a film-forming natural active ingredient derived from chestnuts, for hair care applications.
