Skincare Primers by Smashbox Lead Beauty Looks at Christian Cowan for New York Fashion Week

New Smashbox Always On Sheer To Stay Color Tints plus Becca beauty adoptions appear along with other makeup creations.

Smashbox has once again teamed up with Christian Cowan for his Fall/Winter 2023 New York Fashion Week runway collection that debuted on Feb. 14.

Developed by Smashbox Global Pro Lead Artist Lori Taylor Davis and polished by Christian’s tribute to the heroines of pop culture, the makeup look radiates through high-performing, skin-first formulas, said the Happi Top 50 company

“At Cowan, we’re seeking to elevate house codes and our exuberant way of showing off the women we dress, while simplifying our fabric groupings and silhouettes,” said Christian Cowan. “This especially translates to our beauty this season. We've replaced bold eyes with fresh dewy skin and highlighted accents to bring an ultra-fresh glow to each model. I told them all that I wanted them to look and feel fresher than they ever have before.”

Runway beauty gleams beyond the seams due to cult-favorite primers infused with skin-defending formulas like Silkscreen Complex, paired with the ever-evolving Halo hero collection. “Special guests” of makeup include the new Always On Sheer To Stay Color Tints, celebrated Smashbox X Becca adoptions, and more – plus secret, unreleased innovations from the brand’s upcoming launches.

“What’s old is new again,” said Lori Taylor Davis. “And what’s dull is gone. We’re transmuting a genuine glow from within – quite literally, with longwearing performance and skin-first ingredients stealing the show. We’re still cocktailing, layering and creating art – it just feels more authentic. You can’t see where the skin ends and the makeup begins.”
