The American Society of Perfumers (ASP) closed out the World Perfumery Congress with an awards ceremony honoring two perfumers and winners of its inaugural World Perfumery Congress (WPC) Exhibitor Awards. The afternoon ceremony on June 25 was followed by a reception at the Monterey Aquarium. This year’s WPC included keynote speakers, an exhibition, perfumer workshops, panel presentations and networking over three days in Monterey, CA.

WPC Exhibitor Awards

Recognizing excellence in ingredient innovation, technology advancement and sustainability across the global fragrance industry, the WPC Exhibitor Awards celebrated exhibitors whose work is helping shape the future of perfumery through creativity, scientific achievement and environmental stewardship, according to organizers.

Pura’s booth included upcycled phone booths where attendees could experience scent.

Most Innovative Ingredient Award: Mane Elixirs—an original natural co-extract produced through the co-distillation of orris roots and rectified cedarwood essential oil directly within the alembic.

Standout Ingredient Technology Award: Givaudan PlanetCaps S Technology—a readily biodegradable fragrance encapsulation technology developed for personal care and fabric care applications.

Eco Champion Award Winner: Pura—Pura was honored for its highly sustainable exhibit design, a modular concept that allows the entire structure to be reused across multiple events and configurations. Pura’s exhibit also included interactive smelling booths created by upcycling retired soundproof phone booths originally manufactured for the audio industry. The company repurposed these structures by integrating ventilation systems and video screens, transforming them into immersive fragrance discovery spaces while giving existing materials a second life.

ASP President Roger Howell presented American Society of Perfumers (ASP) Lambert Service Award to Paula Kundu, co-vice president of ASP. The award recognizes her leadership, volunteerism and long-standing contributions to the global fragrance community, according to ASP.
