ApiotiX Technologies’ Standardized Propolis Extract Shows Retinol-Level Anti-Aging Efficacy

In a clinical study involving 40 female participants over 28 days, PAPE achieved up to 34% wrinkle reduction when applied twice-daily for four weeks.

Biotech R&D company ApiotiX Technologies, headquartered in Croatia, has published a clinical study in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology of the anti-wrinkle efficacy of its patented standardized phenolic acids polymer extract (PAPE) from propolis.

“Our evidence-based solutions with a defined mode of action make PAPE a promising addition to skincare,” said Dr. Bozo Radic, chief operating officer, ApiotiX Technologies. “In vitro studies indicated that PAPE could modulate inflammation and tissue remodeling biomarkers, which is now evidently confirmed in clinical trial results. Together, these findings offer effects comparable to retinol but with an excellent safety profile.”

In a clinical study involving 40 female participants over 28 days, PAPE achieved up to 34% wrinkle reduction when applied twice-daily for four weeks. Participants reported high satisfaction, with 90% willing to continue use, and comprehensive dermatological assessments confirmed excellent skin tolerance.

ApiotiX Technologies utilizes patented technology to develop pharmaceutical-grade extracts with potent biological properties. This extract, derived from propolis, a natural bee-based product, offers a unique and natural solution for skincare and anti-aging products.
