The Fragrance Creators Association (FCA) has appointed Sarah Erickson André as its new vice president, government affairs and general counsel.

André will officially join FCA on Nov. 1, 2024.

“I am thrilled to join Fragrance Creators Association at such a pivotal time for the industry,” said André. “I look forward to leveraging my experience in strategic risk management and advocacy to strengthen FCA’s leadership and help safeguard the interests of its members.”

André joins FCA after serving as a partner at a global law firm where she advised a broad range of organizations including corporations, universities, cultural institutions and foreign sovereigns on a variety of high-stakes domestic and global matters. Her expertise in intellectual property law will be crucial as the fragrance industry faces increasing regulatory and other pressures impacting global supply chains, officials said.

“Sarah is an outstanding advocate with a proven ability to build consensus in high-stakes environments,” said Farah K. Ahmed, FCA’s president and CEO. “Her expertise in complex litigation and strategic, multi-jurisdictional work will be invaluable as FCA navigates a rapidly evolving policy and regulatory landscape, ensuring the industry remains proactive and resilient.”
