Indie Home Fragrance Brand Baobab Opens New York City Flagship Store

Natural candles and reed diffusers feature global components.

Belgian lifestyle brand Baobab Collection has opened its first New York City Flagship on the Upper East Side at 1015 Madison Ave.

Founded in 2002, the company is known for its reed diffusers and other home fragrances.

With a global approach, the candles’ mineral wax is made in Germany, the glass from Poland, the leather from Italy and the scents are created in Grasse, France. All Baobab Collection candles are hand-poured into glass as well.

Artisan candles are big at Baobab.

“New York is home to many creative and cultured souls, young and old, who aren’t afraid to express themselves,” said Alain Lahy, CEO of Baobab Collection. “Opening a flagship store gives the opportunity to get into conversation with them and make them discover the unique world of Baobab Collection where luxury home fragrance meets creative design.

“With our store, we hope to offer an immersive experience of visual and olfactory emotions.”
