Kumar Organic Products Acquires Fortcaps Healthcare

Kumar Organic Products, Ltd., (KOPL), a leading manufacturer of ingredients for pharmaceutical, personal care, and other applications, has acquired Fortcaps Healthcare Ltd., a company engaged in the manufacture of empty hard gelatin capsules. 

 

In a recently concluded all-cash deal, KOPL has acquired 100% shareholding of Fortcaps Healthcare. KOPL now controls the management and entire shareholdings of Fortcap Healthcare Limited. 

 

Fortcaps Healthcare Limited is a leading manufacturer of empty hard gelatin capsules with a manufacturing facility in India. It caters to various pharmaceutical customers mainly in the Indian market. Its products have various certifications including Halal and Kosher, among others. The facility is approved by WHO-GMP, ISO 9001.  

 

Headquartered in India with manufacturing facilities at four places in the country, KOPL has sales offices in Singapore, Middle East, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the US. With a strong R&D infrastructure, KOPL caters to over 800 active customers across the globe delivering ingredients for various applications in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, personal care, skin care, hair care and coatings industries. All the manufacturing facilities are inspected by US FDA. KOPL holds various certifications including REACH among others.

 

The recent acquisition will add great value to both companies, officials said. KOPL will leverage the Fortcare facilities for the manufacture and sale of Pullulan vegetarian Satvik-certified capsules. KOPL is the only manufacturer of Pullulan in India. For Fortcare, it will open up opportunities to explore global and regulated markets. KOPL says it’s committed to investing and strengthening the Fortcare manufacturing facilities to meet stringent GMP and other regulatory requirements.
