Massage Envy Hits Another Milestone

Massage Envy Spa, a pioneer and national leader of professional, convenient and affordable massage and spa services, reported today the signing of its 1,200th franchise agreement. Only 2.4% of franchised brands operate 1,000 or more franchised units, according to FRANdata, the franchise industry's source for objective information and analysis. With more than 920 operating units and the signing of its 1,200th agreement, Massage Envy Spa, is well on its way to being one of the largest franchise systems in the country.

“It's been a tremendously successful growth year for Massage Envy Spa in 2013,” said Joe Luongo, Massage Envy Spa chief operating officer. “There are thousands of franchise brands across the country, but only a small percentage ever surpasses the 1,200-unit mark. This incredible milestone is a true testament to our franchise partners and unique concept.”

The 1,200th franchise agreement was awarded to husband and wife team, Steve and Julie Kambeitz, who will open their third Massage Envy Spa in Ohio. They have been Massage Envy Spa franchise owners since 2006. They opened their first location in Powell, Ohio, in May 2007, followed by a second location shortly after in August 2007 in Dublin, Ohio. The couple has brought more than 90 jobs to their local communities and plan for continued growth with this opening in the second quarter of 2014. As members of the Dublin and Powell Chambers of Commerce, the Kambeitz's are constantly taking advantage of opportunities to sponsor local events and charities, including donating massages and facials to various worthwhile causes.
