Merit, Jin Soon Choi Create Beauty Looks for Proenza Schouler at New York Fashion Week

Makeup was minimal and sheer while nails featured a matte black ombre design.

Indie beauty brand Merit was once again the official beauty sponsor for Proenza Schouler’s 2023 Runway Show at New York Fashion Week.

International makeup artist Diane Kendal used Merit’s array of minimalist makeup products to create a runway-ready look for the unveiling of Proenza’s new collection.

The models—including actress Chloe Sevigny—wore Merit Beauty products Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil for a light amount of color and lids, Flush BalmCheek Color to melt color into the skin, Great Skin Instant Glow Serum for a luminous glow on high points, a sparring amount of Clean Lash Lengthening Mascara and Brow 1980 Volumizing Mousse  when needed.

According to Merit’s Founding Senior Vice President Aila Morin, “We’re excited to be partnering with Proenza Schouler again for New York Fashion Week – we debuted our Signature Lip lipstick on the runway with them last year, which kicked off our partnership. It has always been a very natural collaboration – Proenza Schouler’s bold aesthetic and our minimalist beauty lens create a strong balance, and we’re so thrilled to play a small part in Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough’s vision.”

Kendal added, “Jack and Lazaro wanted a really fresh glowy look. They want the girls to have a strong, beautiful, easy look.”
