NYX Crowns Beauty Vlogger of the Year at FACE Awards

NYX Cosmetics named Mykie of YouTube channel Glam&Gore as its beauty vlogger of the year at the Fourth Annual NYX Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites (FACE) Awards Show in Los Angeles. More than 2 million votes were cast throughout the entire competition, and more than 22,000 viewers tuned into the livestream during the NYX FACE Awards Show, according to the makeup brand.

Mykie and five finalists revealed their final NYX FACE Awards makeup looks and challenge videos inspired by the theme, “True Colors,” before a live audience of more than 1,200. Kelly Osbourne hosted and a panel of top makeup artists served as judges.

As vlogger of the year, Mykie received $25,000, consultations with pro makeup artists and a year’s supply of NYX Cosmetics.

At the awards, Redken hosted a pop-up styling bar where guests had the chance to have their hair styled by Redken artists in one of Redken’s top three Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Week looks. Backstage, Redken also styled the hair of the six vlogger finalists and four panelists before the awards show began. Prior to the awards, several finalists also received complimentary Redken Shades EQ Gloss appointments with Redken celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham at Meche to help them look their best on stage.
