Scent Beauty Partners with The Estate of Whitney Houston and Primary Wave Music to Launch Fragrance

Perfumers studied the late singer’s collection of fragrances and worked to develop a unique scent that highlighted all of her favorite fragrance notes.

Scent Beauty, among the first multi-brand e-commerce platforms for bespoke fragrances, which offer unique, culturally relevant fragrances to consumers worldwide, has launched the Whitney Houston Signature Fragrance.
 
Inspired by the iconic songstress, The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music partnered with Scent Beauty and legendary perfumer Firmenich to translate Whitney’s voice and beauty into signature fragrance notes.
 
“Whitney Houston has been a pioneer in the entertainment space and a true inspiration to women,” said Steve Mormoris, founder and CEO of Scent Beauty. “We wanted to continue to bring her legacy to life through a scent that encompasses all that she accomplished.”
 
With the support of Pat Houston, executor of The Estate of Whitney E. Houston, perfumers studied the late singer’s collection of fragrances, and worked to develop a one-of-a-kind scent that highlighted all of her favorite fragrance notes and overall love for beauty. “To wear Whitney Houston is to feel inspired and confident like Whitney, who has always encouraged women to embrace the greatest love for themselves,” shares Pat Houston.
 
The Whitney Houston Signature Fragrance notes are designed with bright fruits and florals that delight the senses, while its woody, sensual notes linger on, keeping consumers warm and self-assured. Houston’s endless capacity for love shines through every note, according to the brand.
 
“This has been a top goal since Primary Wave partnered with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston,” said Lisa Fruggiero, VP of brand partnerships at Primary Wave Music. “We’re fortunate to have partnered with such a great team to bring this to the fans.”

Packaging Reflects Houston's Personal Style 

The fragrance is housed in a tall crystal shaped bottle that takes note of the star’s most-loved personal style – from her favorite color purple, to the tall, elegant square bottle that calls to mind the songstress’ stature. The cap serves as an allusion to the numerous trophies she received throughout her life and Whitney’s unique signature as the finishing touch to the packaging.
 
In partnership with The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, a portion of proceeds of the fragrance will benefit the foundation, which serves as continuation of Houston’s journey to rebuild lives, restore self-esteem, and repair images through grassroots programs and initiatives for the young.
 
Whitney Houston Signature Fragrance launched this month at Home Shopping Network (2-piece 3.4oz EDP & 6oz body Lotion set for $59.95), and will arrive early November at ScentBeauty.com (1.7oz EDT for $39.99, 6oz BL for $7.99 and 8oz Body Mist for $9.99). An exclusive holiday gift set will be launched at Walmart early November. The fragrance will also be available at Perfumania mid-November.
