NYX Professional Makeup is furthering its mission to champion women in sports with a new partnership with Angel City FC stars and sisters, Alyssa and Gisele Thompson.
The Thompson sisters are the newest “starters” of NYX Professional Makeup’s “Make Them Look” campaign, a program that celebrates bold self-expression.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Alyssa and Gisele Thompson are game-changing athletes redefining what it means to be bold — on and off the field. The Thompson sisters will serve as brand ambassadors, given their strong talents, rising influence and passion for inclusion in women’s sports.
“NYX Professional Makeup is all about confidence, showing up as your true self and feeling empowered in your own skin – values that have always mattered to me,” said Gisele Thompson. “Being part of this campaign is about showing up fully and unapologetically – there’s real power in that.”
Alyssa echoed those sentiments.
“To me, this campaign means being your most confident self – on and off the field,” added Alyssa Thompson. “When you bring that kind of energy, people can’t help but notice – it’s about being undeniable. It’s something that no one can take away from you.”
In May 2025, the Thompsons made National Women’s Soccer League history as the first sisters to combine on a goal, when Alyssa assisted Gisele’s first professional goal. In their role as ambassadors, fans and consumers alike can expect to see more of this sisterly bond as they star in a variety of content across the brand’s social and digital platforms.
Their partnership with NYX Professional Makeup marks another first for the Thompson sisters, as their first beauty brand deal.

The partnership marks one of many for the brand in the sports arena, having previously partnered with Juju Watkins— collegiate basketball star, to kick off their “Make Them Look” campaign in 2024. That same year, NYX Professional Makeup became reportedly the first cosmetics sponsor of the NWSL’s Angel City Football Club, through a multi-year partnership, highlighting the brand’s deepening commitment to women’s sports. NYX Professional Makeup also partnered with the WNBA’s New York Liberty.
