Taylor Swift Tops Fresha’s Shortlist Of Celebs With The Most Talked-About Beauty Routines

From record-shattering concert tours to Hollywood blockbusters, 2023 was a golden year for some of pop’s brightest stars from Taylor Swift to Margot Robbie. And their influence in beauty is unrivaled. 

 

Per new research from Fresha, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Dua Lipa and Kylie Jenner hold the golden tickets to some of the year’s most coveted beauty secrets. 

 

The beauty and wellness marketplace analyzed the number of online articles mentioning the beauty routines of over 100 of the most influential celebrities of 2023, combining each celebrity’s name with terms such as “skincare,” “beauty routine” and “makeup,” among others. These articles were then combined and ranked accordingly to discover which celebrities have the most talked about beauty routines of 2023. 

According to analysts, Taylor Swift – who was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year 2023 – has the most talked about beauty routine of 2023. The popstar has the highest number of article mentions of 2023 regarding her beauty routine, including references to either her makeup, skincare or haircare, with a whopping 135,932 articles. Famous for her signature red lipstick and sharp eyeliner, articles referencing Taylor Swift’s makeup reached 24,469, the highest of any celebrity. The singer also received huge buzz online regarding her skincare routine and hairstyle, with 4,564 mentions of “Taylor Swift skincare” and 53,067 references to “Taylor Swift hair.” 

Their research also revealed that Beyoncé possesses the second most in-demand beauty secrets of 2023. Beyoncé, who has soft launched her first fragrance, has often talked regularly about taking care of her skin, emphasizing the importance of moisturizing and using sunscreen for skin protection. Consequently, the superstar has the most talked about skincare routine of 2023, with 5,014 online mentions of her skincare routine over the last 12 months, higher than any other celebrity.  

Amidst the Barbie craze that dominated in 2023, actress Margot Robbie also placed high in the ranking. The “Barbie” actress placed third overall, with 78,072 articles mentioning her makeup, skincare or hair throughout 2023, also making her the actress with the most in-demand beauty secrets. 

 

The fourth most talked about celebrity in the online beauty space is Kendall Jenner. Kendall’s beauty routine was mentioned in 69,627 articles over the last 12 months. The model was also the third most talked about celebrity in regards to her skincare routine, with 3,808 articles talking about her flawless skin. 

 

Pop Singer Dua Lipa, who supplied vocals to “Dance the Night” for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie, placed fifth with the most popular online beauty routine. The Grammy winning singer received 60,606 online articles mentioning her beauty routine, with 7,376 mentions alone for “Dua Lipa makeup.”

Fresha’s research also revealed that Meghan Markle was sixth on the list of the most in-demand beauty secrets, with 58,377 article mentions of her beauty routine in 2023. Renowned for her minimalist approach to makeup and skincare, the Duchess of Sussex often embraces a fresh and radiant look and has been vocal about her commitment to using clean and organic products in her skincare routine. Markle is not the only member of the Royal Family to make the list; Princess of Wales Kate Middleton placed eleventh.  

Barbie star Margot Robbie had the most popular beauty routine of 2023, with a total of 78,072 articles mentioning her routine. Searches for “Margot Robbie hair” were particularly high this year and higher than any other actress, with 31,567 online mentions, likely due to her plethora of beautiful hairstyles during the Barbie press tour. 

 

HBO’s “Euphoria” star Zendaya had the second most in-demand beauty routine, with 52,590 mentions of her routine in 2023. Ana de Armas ranked in third place. The “Blonde” actress received 31,873 articles mentioning her beauty routine this year, including 9,184 mentions alone for “Ana de Armas makeup.” The Princess Diaries’ Anne Hathaway took the fourth spot, followed by “Midnight in the Switchgrass” star Megan Fox, in fifth. 

 

The top 10 actresses with the most talked about beauty routines are rounded out with Blake Lively ranking in sixth place, “Scream” star Jenna Ortega in seventh, followed by “Maleficent” star Angelina Jolie, “Euphoria” Sydney Sweeney and “Joy” star Jennifer Lawrence in eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively.  

For most in-demand beauty secrets, Billie Eilish, who sang the Grammy nominated “What Was I Made For,” for the “Barbie” movie, took fourth place. The Bad Guy singer received a total of 38,188 mentions of her beauty routine throughout 2023, including 14,807 mentions alone for “Billie Eilish hair.” Ranking in fifth place is Doja Cat, with 37,990 combined articles. 

 

The top 10 singers with the most talked about beauty routines are rounded out with Miley Cyrus ranking in sixth place, Katy Perry in seventh, followed by fellow songstresses Shakira, Olivia Rodrigo and Suki Waterhouse in eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively.
