The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) has named the 2021 Honorees for Lifetime Achievement Perfumer and Hall of Fame. TFF will honor Calice Becker, vice president perfumer & director of the Givaudan Perfumery School with the Lifetime Achievement Perfumer Award; and Philippe Benacin, chairman and CEO Interparfums, with the Hall of Fame Award at the 2021 TFF Awards on June 10 to be presented virtually. The event will include free registration for the main awards’ presentations and announcements. A presenter lineup of stars from music to fashion and more will be released soon. Sponsorship opportunities will be available in April, and registration will open in mid May. Calice Becker As director of the Givaudan Perfumery School, Becker demonstrates leadership as a teacher in advancing the future of the art of perfumery, and is committed to giving back to the next generation of perfumers. With 35 years in the industry, Becker is recognized as a preeminent collaborator with fashion designers and influencers. She is known for fragrances across categories and brands including J’adore by Christian Dior, Intoxicated by Kilian, Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford, Dylan Blue by Versace, Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger & many more. “I am honored to be in the company of such extraordinary perfumers who have received this award before me; this special tribute encourages me to continue my dedication to the future of perfumery. I wish to give my tremendous thanks to the board of The Fragrance Foundation for this recognition and congratulate you on the impressive work you do to support perfumers and your mission to inspire the world through fragrance,” said Becker. Philippe Benacin As chairman and CEO of Interparfums, Benacin oversees one of the premier luxury perfumery companies, boasting a portfolio of license agreements with some of the world’s most exclusive fashion brands including Coach, Jimmy Choo, Montblanc, Kate Spade, Van Cleef and Arpels, Lanvin, Boucheron, Karl Lagerfeld and most recently Moncler. Philippe is well-known for his entrepreneurial spirit, contagious enthusiasm, and dedication to his team — characteristics that have enabled Phillipe to lead Interparfums and his team of over 400 global employees, to many accomplishments. “I am honored to receive this award. It is a reward for almost 30 years of teamwork. 30 years dedicated to a prestigious brand portfolio and I would like to share it with all those who have taken part in this wonderful adventure with me,” Benacin commented.
