Christina Dedrick from TricorBraun’s Charlotte, NC office received the Certified Packaging Professional award. A packaging consultant for 10 years, Ms. Dedrick received her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Clemson University in 1991 and earned her Master of Science degree in packaging science in 1995, also from Clemson.
Packaging consultants in the U.S. must complete the lengthy qualifying process to receive the designation and provide three of the fundamental requirements. They include, six years experience in packaging; successful completion of an examination covering packaging machinery, materials and technology; and the completion one of the following: passing a narrative examination; having been awarded a patent; writing a scholarly article on a technical or management subject concerning packaging, or submitting a resume of activities that details six years of experience including teaching or lecturing, publishing papers or attending educational courses.
