On October 30, HCPA co-hosted a virtual policy briefing for Congressional staff on cleaning product ingredient communication. Alongside the American Cleaning Institute (ACI), Consumer Brands Association (CBA), the Fragrance Creators Association (FCA), and HCPA member company RB, Kevin Serafino, senior director, Federal Government Relations & Public Policy and Internal Counsel, briefed legislative staff on the need for a federal standard for ingredient communication based on the California Cleaning Product Right to Know Act of 2017.
The policy briefing also highlighted the industry’s voluntary labeling initiative and described the challenges faced by HCPA member companies in meeting consumer demands for increased ingredient communication.
