In honor of Women’s Month, Live Tinted has teamed up Barbie a limited-edition exclusive collaboration.
BarbieStyle is partnering with a range of best-in-class, female-founded fashion and beauty brands to curate a range of redesigned exclusive products. Live Tinted has created a one-of-a-kind doll, the first ever South Asian (CEO) Barbie, along with a limited-edition Origin Huestick in BarbieStyle packaging.
“It’s a dream come true to be collaborating with Barbie,” said Deepica Mutyala, founder and CEO of Live Tinted. “Our sole mission as a brand at Live Tinted is to dismantle colorism in the beauty industry and to emphasize that representation matters. To be able to show young, tinted girls everywhere that there is a place for them in this world through such an iconic and prominent figure such as Barbie is something I know younger Deepica would be extremely proud of.”
While the doll will not be available for purchase, the limited-edition Barbie x Live Tinted Huestick will be available for $24 beginning March 3. For each product sold in the month of March, Mattel will donate 5% of its proceeds from the sale and will match the donation (up to $100,000) to the Barbie Dream Gap Project. Launched in 2018, the global initiative gives girls the resources and support they need to continue believing in themselves and to close the gap of self-limiting thoughts girls have about their capabilities compared with the opposite sex.
