The lure of the desert was the theme for Altuzarra’s runway show at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023.
The hair looks were created by international hairstylist Jawara using Fekkai best-sellers and the latest innovations.
“We wanted to create different characters this season, and decided on an array of hair looks—from twisted, organic mohawks to natural waves and textured bobs—that would speak to this collection and celebration of individuality,” said fashion designer Joseph Altuzarra.
The models—including Paloma Elsesser, Abby Champion and more wore beauty looks created by makeup artist Diane Kendal with Merit color cosmetics.
“This season, I wanted the models to look fresh and natural, celebrating each person’s individuality and beauty. The clean, raw look is contrasted against the crispness of the collection at the beginning of the show and the vibrant, colorful Shibori prints of the collection at the end of the show. Diane is incredible, and it's been amazing to see her create natural yet editorial looks with Merit products,” added Altuzarra.
