Silab has opened its new commercial subsidiary in Japan.
This marks the independent French supplier of natural active ingredients for the cosmetics and dermo-cosmetics market’s sixth commercial platform.
Silab North East Asia KK, opened on Nov. 1, is consistent with its founding value of independence and a view towards reinforcing its commercial relations with its Japanese partners, per the company.
“The variety of crises we have all faced since 2020 has noticeably affected markets, in particular in Asia,” said Jean-Philippe Cosson, general manager sales, international subsidiaries, CSR at Silab. “Already strongly established in China since 2003 and in South Asia (in Singapore) since 2013, we decided to boost our activity in North Asia by creating Silab North East Asia KK. Opening a commercial subsidiary in Japan was seen as obvious and necessary to take over from our local distributor.”
Based in Tokyo, the Silab NEA KK team will be responsible for promoting and distributing the company’s natural active ingredients in Japan, and maintaining customer relations with its long-standing distributor in South Korea.
The company says its “increased presence” will enhance its value proposal based on Nature, Science and Technology, and will consolidate its partnerships with local clients and universities.
