For over a decade, Evy Poumpouras served as a Secret Service special agent as a member of the Presidential Protective Division for President Barak Obama and First Lady
Michelle Obama, as well as protecting Presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush.
Today, Poumpouras is a widely recognized journalist, host and producer who uses her skills to conduct headline-grabbing interviews and investigate the biggest stories in the media.
Poumpouras will speak at the Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA)’s mid-year meeting, which will be held at the Nation's Capital from May 7-10. She’ll share techniques for enhancing verbal and nonverbal communication skills in pursuit of a goal; how to deescalate, empathize and collaborate in challenging circumstances and take the stigma of fear out of confrontation; how to protect the mindset; and how to effectively deal with unwanted situations.
Following Evy’s General Session presentation, she will be available for a meet and greet, including photos and a book signing. Copies of her book, “Becoming Bulletproof: Life Lessons From a Secret Service Agent” must be purchased prior to the event.
